Join us on this shared journey toward a brighter tomorrow. **JOB PURPOSE** PHINIA is seeking a Data Architect to design and govern the enterprise data architecture across cloud, on prem, and hybrid environments. This role defines standards for data models, integration patterns, analytics layers, semantic models, and AI ready datasets. The Data Architect will partner with Data Engineering, Analytics, Application, and Business teams to ensure PHINIA’s data ecosystems are scalable, secure, governed, and optimized for advanced analytics, reporting, and machine learning workloads. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **Key Responsibilities** * Define the enterprise data architecture, patterns, and standards for PHINIA across Azure, on‑prem, and hybrid data environments. * Architect and govern PHINIA’s data platform, including Azure Data Lake/Delta Lake, Databricks, Synapse, and enterprise integration layers. * Design data models, semantic layers, curated datasets, and reusable architecture components that support analytics, BI, and AI/ML readiness. * Collaborate with Data Engineers to design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and lakehouse structures aligned with best practices. * Develop canonical data models, data contracts, and integration design patterns for SAP (ECC/S/4\), MES, PLM, CRM, WMS, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain systems. * Ensure robust data governance, including lineage, metadata, privacy, classification, and quality frameworks; integrate governance with enterprise tools (catalog, glossary, standards). * Partner with Data \& Analytics teams to operationalize AI/ML workloads, feature pipelines, and real\-time streaming architectures. * Define security, compliance, and access control standards for data platforms (encryption, masking, tokenization, RBAC/ABAC). * Establish architecture guidance for real\-time ingestion, event streaming (Kafka/Event Hub), time\-series data, and IoT/edge data integration. * Create architecture diagrams, design documents, data flow maps, source‑to‑target mappings, and reference blueprints for analytics and operational systems. * Work closely with business domain teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Aftermarket) to translate needs into scalable data products and reusable patterns. * Collaborate with Cloud, Integration, Application, and Security teams to ensure data solutions align with PHINIA’s enterprise architecture standards and cloud strategy. * Guide platform modernization initiatives including S/4HANA, SAP BTP adoption, cloud migration, and application data model harmonization. * Evaluate emerging data technologies, AI\-assisted modeling, semantic automation tools, and metadata\-driven pipelines; lead proof‑of‑concepts for new capabilities. * Provide thought leadership and mentor Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Analytics teams on best practices, patterns, and architecture principles. **What we’re looking for** * Bachelor’s or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. * 8\+ years of experience in digital transformation, customer experience, UX, product ownership, or related roles. * Strong understanding of digital platforms such as CRM, customer portals, self‑service systems, mobile apps, and web ecosystems. * Hands‑on experience in journey mapping, UX design principles, service design frameworks, and customer‑centric process improvement. * Ability to work across business and technical teams to deliver integrated, user‑friendly digital solutions. * Experience working with or supporting manufacturing, automotive, or industrial businesses (preferred). * Working knowledge of analytics, customer feedback tooling, NPS/CSAT measurement, and data\-driven decision\-making. * Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills * UX/UI, Service Design, Product Management, or CX certifications (nice to have). * CRM platform certifications (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics) are an advantage. * Agile/Scrum certifications. **WHAT WE OFFER** We provide compensation and benefits programs intended to attract, motivate, reward, and retain an incredibly talented, globally diverse workforce at all levels within our organization.
