About the Role

Uber is looking for a seasoned GBS Operations Manager to join the GBS leadership team within the CAO organization. Based in Hyderabad or Bangalore, this role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution-driving the evolution of our Global Business Services (GBS) model into a value-driven, insight-led organization.

You will lead global Finance operations across P2P, OTC, RTR, Sourcing, and Tax, while shaping the GBS strategy, driving transformation, and delivering measurable business impact. This role requires a strong operator who can influence senior stakeholders, lead through complexity, and unlock efficiency through automation, standardization, and innovation.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Lead GBS Strategy & Transformation
• Define and execute the GBS roadmap aligned with Finance priorities; drive initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and business impact
• Own Global Service Delivery
• Oversee end-to-end delivery across outsourced Finance operations; ensure consistent performance across SLAs, KPIs, and outcomes
• Drive Operational Excellence
• Build governance frameworks, identify improvement opportunities, and embed best-in-class GBS practices across processes
• Champion Automation & Innovation
• Lead process transformation through automation, AI, and digital tools; partner with Tech and Finance to scale solutions
• Manage Stakeholders & Partners
• Act as a strategic partner to Finance leaders and Global Process Owners; lead vendor governance to drive accountability and value
• Deliver Measurable Impact
• Track and communicate performance through data-driven insights; drive cost optimization and continuous value creation
• Lead & Develop Teams
• Build and mentor high-performing teams; foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Finance Operations, with strong exposure to GBS/GCC or outsourced models
• Proven experience leading global service delivery and driving large-scale transformation
• Strong understanding of Finance processes (P2P, OTC, RTR, Sourcing, Tax) and control frameworks
• Experience driving automation, AI adoption, and data-led decision making

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate in a global, cross-functional environment
• Experience managing outsourced partners, including governance and commercial outcomes
• Strong problem-solving skills; Lean / Six Sigma experience preferred
• Proven people leadership experience with the ability to build high-performing teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a high degree of ownership
