Job DescriptionAzure Local / Azure Stack HCI Engineer (Partner Delivery)

1. Azure Stack HCI / Azure Local Core Skills

Hands-on expertise with Azure Stack HCI / Azure Local (21H2, 22H2, 23H2+) in customer-facing production environments.

Proven experience delivering end-to-end Azure Stack HCI implementations :Design, deployment, expansion, upgrades, and decommissioning.

Strong understanding of Azure Stack HCI as an Azure hybrid service, including:Azure subscription registration Per-core licensing and billing Azure Arc dependency model Experience working with validated OEM hardware (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, etc.).

Proficiency with Windows Admin Center, PowerShell-based deployments, and environment validation tooling.

Experience performing in-place upgrades, cluster-aware updating (CAU), and lifecycle management (LCM).

2. Compute & Virtualization Deep expertise in Hyper‑V on Azure Stack HCI:VM provisioning, performance tuning, and high availability.

Experience running Windows and Linux workloads on HCI clusters.

Knowledge of GPU enablement on Azure Stack HCI:GPU‑P and DDA scenarios VDI, AI/ML, and compute-intensive workloads Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) on Azure Stack HCI architectures.

3. Storage & Data Services Strong hands-on experience with Storage Spaces Direct (S2D):Cache/capacity tiering NVMe/SSD/HDD design Fault domain awareness Experience with storage performance tuning, capacity planning, and repair workflows.

Knowledge of Storage Replica for disaster recovery and stretch cluster scenarios.

4. Networking Advanced understanding of Azure Stack HCI networking :RDMA (RoCE / iWARP)SMB Direct Network QoS Experience designing host networking using: SET (Switch Embedded Teaming)VLAN segmentation MTU / Jumbo Frames Familiarity with SDN concepts and VM network security (NSGs, tag-based segmentation).

Strong troubleshooting skills across latency, throughput, and packet loss issues.

5. Azure Arc & Hybrid Management Hands-on experience with Azure Arc–enabled Azure Stack HCI.

Ability to onboard, manage, and troubleshoot: Arc Resource Bridge Arc VM management Arc extensions Experience integrating HCI with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Policy. Understanding of RBAC and governance models in Arc-enabled environments

.6. Security & Identity Knowledge of Azure Stack HCI security features :Secure Boot, TPM, BitLocker Shielded VMs Experience implementing security baselines and hardened configurations.

Familiarity with Active Directory and hybrid identity (Microsoft Entra ID).

Understanding of Defender for Cloud integration for hybrid infrastructure.

7. Kubernetes & Modern WorkloadsExperience deploying and operating AKS on Azure Stack HCI.

Understanding of container networking, persistent storage, and upgrades.Familiarity with Arc-enabled Kubernetes and GitOps-based management.

8. Monitoring, Operations & Support Experience setting up monitoring and observability for Azure Stack HCI:Azure MonitorLog AnalyticsProactive loggingStrong L2/L3 troubleshooting capability across compute, storage, and network layers.Understanding of support boundaries, version supportability, and upgrade paths.

Experience supporting customer escalations and break/fix scenarios.

9. Automation & Delivery Enablement Strong PowerShell scripting skills for deployment and day‑2 operations.

Familiarity with automation and CI/CD concepts for infrastructure. Ability to standardize deployments using repeatable delivery patterns.Experience operating in partner delivery, managed services, or MSP models.

Summary (Partner Lens)This role requires hands-on, customer-facing delivery expertise in Azure Stack HCI / Azure Local, with strong depth across compute, storage, networking, Azure Arc, and hybrid operations.The engineer must be capable of designing, deploying, operating, and troubleshooting Azure Local environments at scale for enterprise customers.

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
