Job Title - AWS Sales Engineering Lead (Senior Manager) – Global Mid Market
Management Level: 06 – Senior Manager
Location: Bangalore/ Gurgaon/ Hyderabad
Must have skills:
Strong hands‑on experience designing and architecting solutions on AWS
Ability to translate business challenges into scalable, outcome‑oriented cloud architectures
Client‑facing skills with confidence engaging both technical and senior business stakeholders
Experience leading technical discovery, solution design, and proof‑of‑concepts (POCs)
Strong communication, presentation, and technical storytelling skills
Experience supporting sales cycles, proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
Good to have skills:
Consulting or pre‑sales experience in cloud transformation engagements
Exposure to GenAI / AI‑driven solutions, Data & AI platforms, or Cloud Security on AWS
Understanding of cloud operating models, governance, and engineering best practices
AWS Professional or Specialty certifications
Experience working with global or distributed delivery teams
Experience:
8–12 years of overall experience in client‑facing technology, consulting, or pre‑sales roles (e.g., Senior Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, Technology Consultant)
6+ years of deep, hands‑on experience architecting and delivering solutions on AWS
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Or equivalent relevant professional experience
Job Summary:
The AWS Mid‑Market Sales Senior Engineer is a client‑facing technical leader who partners with sales teams to drive cloud transformation for mid‑market clients. Acting as a trusted advisor, the role bridges business objectives and AWS technology, designing scalable, secure, and value‑driven solutions that deliver measurable outcomes and long‑term growth.
This is a strategic pre‑sales and solutioning role, focused on shaping cloud journeys, demonstrating the art of the possible, and ensuring a smooth transition from sales to delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Partner with mid‑market clients to understand business priorities, challenges, and technical environments through structured discovery sessions
Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients on AWS‑based solutions aligned to business value and ROI
Architect and design secure, scalable, and innovative AWS solutions across modernization, data, AI, and security use cases
Lead technical workshops and POCs to demonstrate how AWS solutions address client needs
Serve as the technical authority during sales pursuits, advising on feasibility, best practices, and risk mitigation
Collaborate with sales teams to create value‑driven proposals and SOWs
Ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery teams, aligning expectations and execution plans
