Network SRE (NRE) \- L3**Location:** Bangalore or Hyderabad, India**Workplace Type:** Onsite About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Site Reliability Engineer (NRE) at the L3 level to join our dynamic team. As a Network SRE, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security. You will play a critical role in supporting our growing cloud infrastructure and enabling connectivity for new regions and sites. This role requires a strong understanding of networking principles, automation skills, and excellent communication abilities. You will be working with cutting\-edge technologies and collaborating with a team of talented engineers to deliver world\-class network services. Key Responsibilities* Design, install, configure, upgrade, and operate routers and switches. * Deploy greenfield network infrastructure and enable connectivity for new OCI regions and child sites. * Develop scripts and automation (Python preferred) to reduce manual deployment effort. * Support brownfield scaling including CFAB rack adds, compute expansions, server rack adds and decommissions. * Build and manage data center fabrics, edge, backbone, and metro fiber networks. * Execute region builds, DRCC/Alloy expansions, multi\-cloud integrations, and Butterfly turn\-ups. * Operate and build CI/CD pipeline environment using GitHub and OCI’s internal tools for automated deployments. * Leverage networking expertise across BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, VPN, SSL, and working with Arista, Cisco, and other network hardware. * Execute Jira ticket assignments that relate to Network infrastructure RNS projects. * Attend and coordinate team and project meetings. * Adhere to Oracle’s security and safety best practices. * Troubleshoot and resolve network\-related issues in a timely manner. * Participate in on\-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical network infrastructure. * Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of network services. Required Skills \& Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. * 5\+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role. * Extensive working experience on Routers and Switches \- Design, installation, configuration, upgrades, and operations. * Proficiency in network protocols and standards including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VRRP, SNMP, STP/RSTP, VLANS, Routing protocols (ISIS/OSPF/BGP). * Strong scripting and automation skills (Python preferred). * Experience with building and managing data center fabrics, edge, backbone, and metro fiber networks. * Solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline environments and tools (GitHub, OCI internal tools). * Expertise in networking technologies such as BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, VPN, SSL. * Experience working with Arista, Cisco, and other network hardware. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong problem\-solving and troubleshooting skills. * Experience with Jira ticketing systems.
