Project Role Description : Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.

JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking a Test / QA Engineer to support data engineering and ETL delivery across Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake, and Data Vault–based data platforms. This role focuses on validating data pipelines, transformations, and data quality across enterprise data environments.
The individual will serve as a core QA contributor, owning execution of assigned test scenarios while collaborating with data engineers, architects, and delivery leads. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, data validation, and defect management rather than overall QA strategy ownership.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data & ETL Testing
Validate ETL/ELT pipelines built in Azure Data Factory.
Perform data validation testing in Snowflake including source-to-target reconciliation and transformation validation.
Validate historical data accuracy.
Test incremental and batch loads for completeness and correctness.
Data Vault Validation
Validate Data Vault structures including Hubs, Links, and Satellites.
Ensure adherence to Data Vault standards including historization and auditability.
Validate downstream Business Vault or consumption-layer outputs.
Test Planning & Execution
Develop and maintain test cases, scenarios, and test data for ETL workflows.
Execute functional, regression, and smoke testing for data pipelines.
Support UAT by assisting business users with data validation and defect triage.
Defect Management & Reporting
Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and data evidence.
Collaborate with ETL developers to troubleshoot pipeline issues.
Retest fixes and support release sign-off activities.
Delivery & Collaboration
Work closely with ETL developers throughout sprint cycles.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and release readiness reviews.
Contribute to QA documentation, test evidence, and quality metrics.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Testing & Data Skills
2–5 years of QA/testing experience in data or ETL-heavy environments.
Hands-on experience testing ETL pipelines or data platforms.
Working knowledge of SQL for validation and reconciliation.
Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and Snowflake.
Understanding of Data Vault methodology and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
Experience in Agile delivery environments.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience testing large-scale data volumes.
Exposure to Python-based test automation for data validation.
Experience with dbt or data quality frameworks.
Familiarity with Azure Data Lake / Blob Storage.
Exposure to Customer 360 or analytics use cases.
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with developers.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (required).
