Job Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Data Engineer II will lead the development and delivery software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data to solve specific business problems. This role is responsible for the end-to-end implementation and maintenance of data pipelines, ensuring they integrate smoothly with existing systems and workflows. Analyzing and visualizing data performance metrics will be a key part of the job, guiding iterative improvements and troubleshooting issues. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to integrate data-based solutions into production environments and refine workflows. The Engineer II will also contribute to research and development efforts to advance the company’s data engineering capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize data pipelines to address specific business needs.
• Conduct data analysis and visualize pipeline performance to improve operational efficiency and scalability to ensure they support high volume and high velocity data streams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy data pipelines and machine learning capabilities into production.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in data engineering.
• Maintain documentation for data stores and data pipelines.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in data engineering technologies and best practices.

Qualification Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Three (3) – Four (4) years of data engineering experience
• Experience creating ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure-native services.
• Experience with maintaining data models.
• Experience designing application programming interfaces or relational database managements systems.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Proficiency with distributed version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to process data effectively.
• Ability to own tasks and produce results for the business.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with CI/CD practices
• Proficiency with PySpark.
• Knowledge of data masking or data governance in Databricks.
• Knowledge of AI functions in Databricks.
• Knowledge of clinical trial data.

Key Details:

• This role will work in the Hyderabad office two to three days a week starting in September 2026.
• This role will work second shift, meaning Monday through Friday from 1 pm to 11 pm IST.
