As a Senior Business Analyst (PolicyCenter), you will lead functional workstreams on implementation and enhancement projects, shaping how customers underwrite, rate, and manage policies on our platform. You’ll translate P&C product and rating requirements into scalable PolicyCenter designs that balance out-of-the-box capabilities with customer needs. This role sits at the center of Guidewire’s mission to transform how the world’s P&C insurers do business using digital, core, analytics, AI, and cloud. Job DescriptionWhat you’ll do Lead discovery and requirement workshops to capture underwriting, product, rating, and policy lifecycle needs, translating them into clear user stories and functional specifications for PolicyCenter. Design PolicyCenter configurations for product model, coverages, rating worksheets, workflows, underwriting rules, and job lifecycles, using out-of-the-box capabilities wherever possible. Perform process and gap analysis across quoting, issuance, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals, recommending scalable solutions that reduce implementation effort and time. Collaborate with architects and integration teams to define integrations between PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and external systems (rating engines, bureaus, third-party data), ensuring data quality and performance. Partner with underwriters, actuaries, product owners, developers, and QA to align configurations with filed products, pricing strategies, and regulatory expectations. Support Agile delivery through backlog grooming, clear acceptance criteria, requirement traceability, and validation during functional, integration, and user acceptance testing. Use project data and feedback to refine configuration approaches and help turn services-led innovation into repeatable offerings across customers and regions. What you’ll bring Required 6–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the P&C insurance domain, covering key policy lifecycle processes (new business, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, rewrites). Hands-on experience with at least one end-to-end Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation or major enhancement, including product model, rating, and job lifecycle configuration. Strong understanding of P&C concepts such as coverages, limits, deductibles, underwriting rules, and rating structures (base rates, modifiers, tiers, surcharges, discounts). Proven experience in Agile/Scrum teams, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and working closely with developers and QA. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex scenarios into practical solution options. Clear, confident communication and facilitation skills with business and technical stakeholders in distributed teams. Ability to manage priorities across multiple initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on customer outcomes. Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role, using data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Guidewire Certification – Certified Ace – Policy Center Business Analyst Exposure to AI-enabled tools in software delivery (for example, analysis, documentation, testing support, or configuration quality checks). Experience in Professional Services or consulting environments, with awareness of project timelines, economics, and value realization. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Your Impact We believe in clarity and setting you up for success. In your first months, you will learn our implementation methodology and PolicyCenter capabilities while pairing with experienced consultants on an active project. You’ll start by owning focused functional areas—such as a product line, rating component, or policy transaction—building relationships with customer product owners, underwriters, and technical teams. Within your first 6 months, you will lead end-to-end policy workstreams, from requirement workshops through solution design and testing, helping reduce rework, shorten time-to-value, and drive consistent, repeatable patterns in Professional Services. Over time, your work will influence how insurers adopt Guidewire’s cloud and AI capabilities, directly contributing to customer success and our broader mission in the P&C industry.
