Android Team Lead

Job Summary:

Essential Technical Skills:

• Programming Languages: C++
• JNI (Java Native Interface): Required experience with JNI for native code integration.
• Android Architecture and Framework: Deep knowledge of Android Architecture, AOSP (Android Open Source Project), and Android Framework internals.
• Expertise in Android IPC mechanisms such as Binder and AIDL, including native-to-framework interactions.
• Security and Permissions: Thorough understanding of the Android permission model, SELinux policies, and secure system-level app configurations.

Automotive-Specific Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Vehicle HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) and System Services.

• Experience with Ethernet-based communication protocols in automotive environments.

Debugging and Tools:

Debugging Proficiency: Skilled in using Android debugging tools such as logcat and adb.

Competence with Linux command-line tools for system-level debugging and diagnostics.

Additional Skills (Good to Have):

Kotlin: proficiency preferred for modern Android development.

Java: Good understanding and experience.

System-Level Development: Experience with system-level development and configurations in an embedded environment.

• Networking: Understanding of network protocols and Ethernet-based communication, particularly in automotive contexts.

Soft Skills:

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in complex system integrations.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, mentoring, leading and sharing knowledge and contributing to collective goals.
