Reach Education Pvt. Ltd. is an educational services firm based in Mumbai, India. We are a premium higher education advisory firm founded by HBS (MBA'2010) and CMU (Tepper'2003) alum Vibha Kagzi focused on counselling students targeting top-tier schools internationally.  

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer to join our team and drive the development of an AI-powered, voice-first product. We are Building an AI Career Coach for Youth (HelloIvy.ai)

Role Overview

We are looking for an AI Engineer to help design, build, and scale the core intelligence behind HelloIvy.ai. You will work on models and systems that understand users, reason over career pathways, and deliver personalized guidance at scale.

This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences how thousands (and eventually millions) of young people understand themselves, explore careers, and make life-shaping decisions.

What You’ll Work On

· Design and build AI systems for personalized career guidance, including:

o Skill inference from user inputs (profiles, assessments, conversations)

o Career matching and recommendation engines

o Learning and career pathway modeling

· Develop and improve LLM-based workflows (prompting, chaining, retrieval, evaluation)

· Build data pipelines combining user behavior, labor market data, education data, and skills taxonomies

· Implement evaluation metrics for relevance, accuracy, bias, and user outcomes

· Optimize models for scalability, latency, and cost as user volume grows

· Collaborate closely with product, design, and domain experts in education and careers

Skills & Qualifications

Required

· Strong foundation in machine learning and applied AI

· Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models)

· Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar)

· Experience with:

o Recommendation systems, ranking, or personalization

o NLP or conversational AI

· Ability to translate ambiguous human problems into structured AI solutions

· Comfort working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment

Preferred

· Experience with RAG systems, embeddings, vector databases

· Familiarity with career, education, or skills data (e.g., O*NET, ESCO, labor market datasets)

· Exposure to bias, fairness, or explainability in AI systems

· Experience deploying models into production (APIs, monitoring, iteration loops)
