Achira Labs is a Bengaluru\-based medical diagnostics company building cutting\-edge point\-of\-care testing solutions. Behind the science is a growing internal effort to make our R\&D and engineering operations smarter through automation and AI. We are looking for a motivated intern who can work hands\-on with us to build and improve the tools that power how we work. This is not a theoretical internship. You will write real code, annotate real data, and see your contributions running in production. ***What you will do:*** **Data Annotation \& Evaluation*** Label and review outputs from AI\-powered tools — checking summaries, classifications, and extracted data for accuracy and completeness * Build ground\-truth datasets to evaluate and benchmark system performance over time * Annotate structured and unstructured data from lab logs, Jira exports, documents, and spreadsheets * Identify and document edge cases, extraction errors, and inconsistencies in automated pipeline outputs * Help design and run evaluation criteria for AI\-generated content (summaries, risk flags, database query results) **Coding \& Development Support:*** Write Python scripts to automate data collection, cleaning, transformation, and reporting tasks * Assist in building and maintaining REST API integrations with tools like Jira, Google Drive, and email services * Help develop web\-based forms and dashboards for internal digitization initiatives * Contribute to database design and search/retrieval logic for internal knowledge systems * Support prompt engineering and testing for AI integrations (Claude / OpenAI APIs) * Write tests, fix bugs, and help improve code quality across active projects ***What we are looking for:*** ***Must Have:**** Pursuing or recently completed B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field * Comfortable writing Python — can read existing code, make changes, and write small scripts independently * Strong attention to detail — annotation and QA work demands precision and consistency * Good written English — you will be reviewing AI outputs meant for a senior management audience * Curious, self\-driven, and comfortable asking questions to unblock yourself ***Good to Have:**** Exposure to REST APIs or any developer API integration * Familiarity with databases — SQL, NoSQL, or even structured file\-based storage * Basic web development — HTML/CSS/JS or any framework * Understanding of how LLMs and AI APIs (GPT, Claude) work * Experience with data wrangling tools: pandas, openpyxl, CSV/JSON processing * Knowledge of Git for version control Prior exposure to annotation tools or manual data labelling work *Tech you will work with:* Python FastAPI / Flask REST APIs Claude / OpenAI SQL / NoSQL pandas HTML / JS Google APIs Gmail / SMTP Git ***What you'll gain:*** * Hands\-on experience shipping real automation tools used by a live team — not toy projects * Exposure to the full lifecycle: problem scoping, building, testing, deploying, and iterating * Working knowledge of AI APIs and how LLM\-powered features are built and evaluated in production * Experience with enterprise tool integrations used across the industry * Direct mentorship from the engineer leading the automation initiatives * A strong, demonstrable portfolio of real work you can speak to in interviews * Certificate of internship and a performance\-based letter of recommendation
